Systems-level Solutions: Housing Sector Report

As project collaborators we're pleased to able to share this new report that takes a systems-level perspective to reveal the root cause issues for New Zealand’s housing sector. 'How We Live' proposes a set of collective actions that if taken together will help shift our housing ecosystem from where it is today, to where we want it to be tomorrow.

We’re delighted that strategies to positively shift our housing sector through ‘How We Live’ was supported by the thinking and models of The Lever Room ‘Impact Economy Ecosystem Map’ – developed by Rebecca Mills and published in 2020 with support of the Impact Investment Network and the Waikato Wellbeing Project. This ecosystem map helped clarify the complexities of the housing market enabling a sector map of all stakeholders that contribute to positive change to be identified. From government ministries, to investors and tribal wealth managers to renters to hardware stores, we each and all have a positive role to play
