Rebecca Mills

Managing director

Rebecca is a leading strategist in delivering and measuring sustainability and climate impact.

She has 25 years’ experience creating outcomes for people, nature and climate.  

With a MSc in biosphere science and impact measurement training at Saïd Business School, Rebecca is an Edmund Hillary Fellow and a Board member of two of NZ’s National Science Challenges.

Lewis Foster

CArBON MEASUREMENT

Lewis is a specialist in greenhouse gas measurement and verification, with deep experience at both organisational level and product lifecycle assessments.

With previous roles including Lead Carbon Auditor at Toitū, he works alongside clients to both help them understand their carbon footprint and make practical reductions that align with climate science.

Tom Berry

CArBON MEASUREMENT

With a background in data science, Tom is well placed in his role as an Analyst across the carbon measurement and removal programmes.

Tom is skilled in R, Python and holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (majoring in data science), and a Bachelor of Commerce (majoring in finance) from the University of Otago where he was on the Deans honours list.  

Felicity Stevens

Strategy

Felicity has a depth of experience supporting clients with strategic positioning and communication. Her background with leading brand agency Alt Group involved working with very different organisations and industries.

She enjoys developing and delivering successful strategies through a clear vision of each project, understanding customer needs, and defining the problem space.

Leonie Matoe

Te Ao Māori

As strategic advisor to the Lever Room, Leonie believes true partnership between the best of the western world and the best of Te Ao Māori can help achieve prosperity.

Holding leadership roles in both Iwi and Government her experience includes Kaupapa Māori health research and innovation; Indigenous enterprise and Impact Investment

 
 
 

Tessa Chilala

Communications

Tessa has 20 years’ experience in the sustainability field in Aotearoa New Zealand and East Africa.

She is a natural communicator and crafts credible and authentic narratives for organisations regardless of where they are on their journey.

Her experience spans across nature conservation, carbon management, sustainability strategy, certifications and communications.

Xavier Black

Strategy

Xavier has consulted on social impact for over a decade. Her superpower is in simplifying the complex and identifying what will generate sustainable change.

She specializes in complex system design, community, and whānau wellbeing. With a background in research, she brings a strong use of evidence and data to our work.

Morgan Dally

carbon measurement AI/ML

Morgan is a data scientist who’s passionate about harnessing remote sensing, AI and machine learning (ML) to offer new possibilities for measuring carbon with increased accuracy.

A computer science grad with four years data science experience he’s highly skilled at integrating data sets to gain insights into complex problems.

Nina Ives

CLIMATE Associate

Nina has a Masters in Climate Change Science and Policy and a BE (Hons) in Engineering Science.

With over three years experience across public and private sector clients Nina supports The Lever Room across climate policy and action. Nina’s also working towards her PhD.

Emily Garden

Data Insight Associate

Emily is skilled at synthesising diverse data sources into clear outputs.

Her experience spans across a wide range of contexts from government to NGOs. Along with her data insight work at The Lever Room, Emily is a consultant with Dovetail and an associate with The Centre for Social Impact.

 
 
 

Rachel Devine

STRATEGY

Rachel has a background in law reform and environmental advocacy gained through her work including that as a partner and Toitū Kaihautu Sustainability Leader at MinterEllisonRuddWatts.

Rachel joins The Lever Room as an Associate and is also a Fellow at the Next Foundation

Penny Hawkins

Impact associate

Penny has over 30 years experience in impact measurement and evaluation, including systems change and complexity. 

She is an independent consultant and former Senior Civil Servant and Head of Evaluation for the UK Department for International Development, Chair of the OECD DAC Network on Development Evaluation and Evaluation Specialist at the Rockefeller Foundation. 

Victoria Mulligan

Impact Measurement

Victoria is an experienced researcher with specialist knowledge in insight-led impact assessment and developmental, mixed methods evaluation.

Victoria supports organisations to meet their sustainable development goals cost-effectively and quantifiably.
